Talkin Tarn is a beautiful visitor attraction, near to Hadrian's Wall. The Country Park hosts Talkin Adventures Activity Centre, who provide a range of outdoor adventure activities and over the summer months, boat hire and mini-golf for visitors. The park is also home to Talkin Tarn Amateur Rowing Club, Brampton Sailing Club and Carlisle Model Boat Club.

The Talkin Tarn Tea Rooms offer drinks, ice cream and light meals for visitors. Talkin Tarn has great facilities including ample parking at reasonable cost, public toilets and showers and changing rooms for water users. The Log Cabin at Talkin Tarn is ideal for visiting school and other groups to use as a base.
